Sir Ernest Shaokelton, tlio Antarctic explorer, speaking as tho guest of tho evening at tho Ececntric Club, said that when lie starts, about eighteen months hence, to make tho first crossing of the Antarctic Continent, some of his former comrades would accompany him. Ho added that if tho Royal Geographical Society permitted, he wished to namo tho highest point at tho South Polar regions "Mount Eccentric."
