DEVONPORT FIRE. Auckland, November 24. A fire occurred at Devonport this afternoon, by which a six-roomed residence, occupied by H. Andrew aiid owned by W. S. Whitoley, waß destroyed, with the furniture. The fire started in tho washhouse, and practically nothing was saved. Tho insurances on tno building were £500 in the London, Liverpool and Globe Office. On the furniture tho risk was £200 in the London and Lancashire Office. PRISONERS SENTENCED. Auckland, November 24. At the Supreme Court Leslie Johns, for indecent assault, was sentenced to two i years' reformative treatment; Ernest Harry Elliott, for indceent assault, to two years' imprisonment; John Brown, indecent assault, to three years' hard labour; and Daniel Pow, a Maori, aged 19, for carnal knowledge at Waihi, to three years' imprisonment and four years' reformative treatment.
