One Thomas Ackland was arrested on Saturday by Detective-Sergeant C'assels bn a charge of his hiving taken part in an unlawful assembly in Waterloo Quay on tho night of October 29, and with having used obscene language to the specials on tho samo occasion. The night was one on which somo special constables had arrived from palmerston North. j
