Tlie case for tho prosecution of Joseph' Grizgard, Simon Silverman, and Leisir Gutwirth (Austrian diamond dealers), and Jock Lockeit (jeweller), chargea with being concerned in the theft of they pearl necklace, is still proceeding. Neville, a postman, gavo evidence that he delivered the necklace packet intact. He knew both Silverman and Gutwitli, and emphatically denied. roceiving money. He had never been promised any, directly or indirectly. Holland, Nevillo's assistant, stated that he curried' the registered bag. Neville did not tamper with the contents. _ . A mail sorter on the Dover train testified that he had notjoed an irregularity in the seals of Mayer's packet, suggesting -that it had already been tampered with.
