' The first concert given in New Zealand by the- Royal Artillery Band, which is ou its way to the Auckland Exhibition, Was played in the Garrison Hall; Dunedin, last night. There was a very largo audience, and. the performance evo.ted tho greatest enthusiasm, A particularly fine programme of a widelyvaried nature was given, and several repetitions and extra items wero played. At the conclusion of the concert tho band was heartily cheered by tlio audi* Giwe. A Second concert was given this afternoon at the Caledonian Grounds between five arid six thousand people being present. Tho band leaves Duiiedin to-i»orrqrv morning for the north, playing in' the evening at Timaru; at ClirisU'hiircli 011 Tuesday and Wednesday, and at Wellington on Thursday and Friday, reaching Auekiand on Sa-t----tirday.
