THK POST OFFICE CLUB. The General Post- Office Amateur -Swimming Club opened its season at ill'.' To Aro Baths on Saturday with a fifty yards' handicap race.. Preparatory to tbo event Mr, F. V. Waters, assistant secretary, made a few. .ternaries, and declared t'no season opened. . There were twelve entrants for.the race: G.. Little (12sec.)i 0. Gamble (12sec.). A. I'. T. Babb (ISsee.), R. 01 Julian (12 sec.), L. .0. Bcmrlre'(Bs<?c.), 0. Gates (6 sec.), J. Gcddes (ssee,), T. DufF.y (4sec»), 0. Gray (4sec.), F, Wilton (4sec.), 0. Nicbfills (2sec.), and H. Little (scr.). Result-: —J. Geddes, I; F. Wilton, 2; G. Gray, 3. Time, 33 3-sscc. Subsequent to the Mr. L, Lodger presented the trophies for the same. This was the only raco of tlio afternoon.
