SEVERAL ARRESTS MADE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Christchurch, November 21. Several acts of violence took p.laco at Lyttelton to-day. .- The permanent labourers of tho Westport' Coal Company wero sot upon by a number of men, some of them being knocked down anil kicked about. Two young men, who came down as firemen in the Tc Anau to join the Maunganui, were sot upon in tho street by three' men; One got hit on the head. Tho men were arrested. A man was also arrested at the Christchurch Railway Station for using threatening language.
