y:.-. , « : _ ANNUAL MEETING. '. The annual meeting of shareholders inf the Wellington Publishing Company K'The Dominion newspaper) was held yesterday at the Chamber of Commerce. Tho Hon. J. Diithie, Chairman. of Directors, .presided . , The annual report and balance-sheet ,Wero laid beforo shareholders. The report congratulated shareholders on the satisfactory results of the year's operations, : and recommended' the payment of a dividend of 5. per cent, out of the year's, profit. 'It \was also suggested that the time had arrived when the company's l operations could with advantage be extended, and with this: purpose in view, it was recommended that' the, unissued shares should be issued to shareholders: The report and balance-sheet' were adopted, after congratulatory references had been 'made to thel position of tho company. Resolutions were passed confirming the directors' proposals as to dividend and future extension of the company's 'businesi '.. ' The retiring directors, tho Hon., J. Diithie, M.L.U., and Messrs. 0. W. 'Earle and J. Macintosh, were re-elected unopposed. Also the retiring auditors,Messrs. Hunt,and Monties. A special voto of thanks to tho [Editor (Mr. C. Earle), Manager (Mr. A. Wanton), and staff was carried with acclamation'.
