YOUNG FARMER'S WINDFALL. Courtney Vassin Hatfield, 25 .years of age, who has been share-farming in the Orange district of New Sonth Wales for some 18 months, and prior to that was working on farois around the . tiiet, has received word from his solicitors in lleltiourno that he has been left a fortune of £250,000. Last week ho was informed, that the inoaoy was available, and lie left for Sydney to claim his inheritance. H© is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hatfield, station owners and dealers, of Northern Queensland, and the fortune lias como to him through his mother's uncle, who, up to the time of his death, Was a bijr ranch holder in Tesos, United States. Mr. Vassin left £750,000 to be apportioned equally between Ms sister. Mrs. Hatfield, and her two eons, so that each obtains £260,000. Hatfield is a native of Glasgow, but has resided most of his life in Northern (Queensland and New South Wales. He is naturally much elated over his good fortune. He will return to Orange before starting on a tour of the. world.
