AT ADDINGTON CAMP.
THE SPECIALS DRILLING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Chrlstchurch, Novombor 20. There are busy scenes at Addington camp, whore several hundred specials are being drilled and prepared for service on tho wharves, but there is no indication of an immediate move. Additional men are being sworn in as they arrjvo. Apparently the force will not bo ready to work until to-morrow. A largo dotachment from Waimato, Timaru, and North Canterbury will reach camp this evening. Tho office of tho Arbitration Union is closod. _ It is announced that further application for membership should bo posted. Sufficient men to mako a start on tho wharves are available. ThoiStriko Committeo announces substantial donations to tho union funds, also quantities of potatoes - and bread, and milk from the country. . Tho committee is opening a depot to-day to distribute supplios to strikers' families. The city generally is very quiet, both sides preserving as much secrecy as possible regarding their plans.
