. —4 —' -' ' FAMOUS AIRMEN RESIGN FROM AERO CWB. Two well-known aviators, Mr. Gra-hamc-Whito and Mr, Richard T, Gates have resigned from the Aero Club as a protest against the latter disqualifying M. Brindejonc de Moulinais from competing at Hendon last May. .In that ■ month tho French aviator made a great flight from Bremen to Hendon, passing ovor London at a great altitude. This was against the law, and .the aviator, was summoned at Row Street'. Ho explained, howover, that he flow over the Metropolis, inadvertently. and was bound over and discharged. Despite tho Aero Club's disqualification, Mr. Brindejonc do Moulinais was allowed to ■ compete in a cross-country raco on May.' 12, aiid won it. Mr. Grahame-White and Sir. Gates complain that the Aero Club withdrew the French aviator's certificate without his knowledge, and without giving him an opportunity of explaining.
