Arthur Stanley England, charged with having ict, lire to *ho Houhorn Public Hall, was found not guilty by tho jury without leaving tho bov lie was discharged. Christchurch, November 19. At tho Supremo Court William Philip Edgar was sentenced to six' months' imprisonment for receiving stolen propel ty. William Charles Mctritt and Sydney William Arthur pleaded guilty to stealing a travelling-bag and a quantity of jewollory, tho property of S. Din, at Lake Coleridge. The Judge said tho offence was the result of a drunken spree. Ho. admitted accused to probation for twelve months, each paying Din £40. The charge of murder preferred against Diddle will bo heard, to-morrow.
