e CRICKET. ■MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last evening. Mr. C. G. Wilson presided. It was decided to play a match be.tween tho Saturday and Wednesday senior representatives, and a match between tho Saturday junior representatives and a second Wednesday senior cloven on January 22, Anniversary Day., The question, of what should be done respecting the Hutt-East junior match, in which an error in the scoring was made, was considered. v It appears that both scorers made a. mistake of about ten runs in adding up, and told the East captain that his side had won the match. The East captain thereupon called his men in, and tlio Hutt team drew the stumps. When both teams were in the pavilion the mistake mentioned was discovered. The East captain then asked leave to have the stumps put in and the match continued.' Tho Hutt captain, though quite willing ,to continue, believed that such a step was against the rules, and declined to finish the match. There was plenty of time to decide the match, and the last two East men were at the wickets. The East team was leading on tho first innings.—It was decided to have the match replayed. A donation of £2 was received from Dr. A. K. Newman, M.P., vice-presi-dent. FOURTH-ROUND MATCHES.
