Wedding In St. Peter's, 'Hie wedding took plaoo quietly yesterday morning, in St. Peter's Clinrch, of Miss Olivo Bessie, soconit daugutor of Mr. and Mrs. William F.->ircuild Marsh, of Duncdiu, to Mr. Bortraed Ambrose Moore, younger son of the late Mr. Ambrose Eylcs iMooro, of Nelson. Tho ceremony was performed by the Ven. Archdeacon Harper. The "bride wore a costume of ivory cloth, with collarand cuffs of fleral silk ( and a pretty white tulle hat. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of pink roses- The bridesmaid was Miss Gladys Sheriff who wore a blue cloth coat and skirt, and large black hat. TVIr. jVlitford; was the best man. A reception was afterwards held at the residence- of Mr. and Mra; A.. W. Young, on The Terrace. Beautiful roses, white and pinkj decorated every room and tho table in the dhiingroonj. where the wedding breaTtfasfc wa.s held, was arranged white flowers, maidenhair fern, and white satin ribbon. In the drawingroom, where Mr. and Mrs. Young received their guests wore more roses, as well as lilies, Mrs. Young Wore a champagne coat and skirt, and white .tagel' hat, with ostrich feathers; Mrs. Marsh, the mother "of the hritle, wore an ivory cloth costume, trimmed with. Canary coloured cloth, and a tagel hat trimmed with tulle and a eluster of na;vy blue and canary coloured osprey plumes. The bride travelled in a nattier blue cloth coat and'skirt, and grey hat trimmed with blue and ceriso tulle- Among those present were Mrs. Amelius Bniith (cousin of the bride), Mrs. M'Pherson (another cousin, from Dunedin),. Mr. Robert Lee (undo of the bridegroom), Mrs. and Miss Lee, Mr. and. Mrs. John* ston (Bulls), Archdeacon and Mrs. Harper, and others. A. considerable amount of routine business was transacted and the ' following. resolution. was carried unanimously: "That this meeting of the Wanganui branch of the Wdmen's Political Reform League desires to place oa .record its' sympathy with the Hon.. W. 'F. Massey and his colleagues, during the arduous time they are experience ing on'account of the industrial'-strike, ■ and wishes to express its appreciation, of' tho Government durihg the crisis,. and hopes that a successful issue will eventuate." The.ladiesin charge of refreshments .at the' southern end of the waterfront finding that their seryiees' are not mow so needed as they Were at first, have decided to give up their work, at least in their'present auarters, in the Star Boating Shed. The Use of the ferry waiting rooms has been placed at their disposal by the Harbour Board, and if they think'they could he of use there, they would 'again provide- refreshments, as they havo beeii' doing for several days past. , Work on : the wharves has now been centred, between the King's and the. Queen's Wharves, so that the 'end has practically been left in peace and quietness, and the need for. refreshments correspondingly small on the part of the special constables. The, ladies of this particular refreshment ;committee are very grateful -for past contributions, which have met with much appreciation on the part of the special constables. Contributions sent to "E" Shed will, as usual, be gratefully acepted. , A quantity of bovril which was sent-down to one of the refreshment- stands 'one- particularly cold night last week met with the greatest appreciation on the part of those who were on guard during the night hours.,
