ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(By Telegraph.—Preflß Association.! 4 .—-. PERILOUS EXPERIENCE. Hohitiha, November 17. The claven-year-old son of Mi - . David Spence, coach proprietor, had a narrow escape from a fatal'accident at Rimu last evening. He fell down a 60ft. disused shaft. Luckily prospectors some ten years ago had erected a staging at the 30ft. level for prospecting. This saved the boy from falling to the bottom, and lie escaped with bruises and the breaking of the right leg above the anklo. MAN DROPS DEAD. Blenheim, November 17. Harvey. Grant IMaddock, aged 28, whilst exercising a horse at Havelock yesterday, dropped dead off the saddlo fiom heart disease.
