Again last evening the Opposition laid itself out to block the business of the House and embarrass the Government. The Bill antler consideration was a measure for the benefit of the farming community —notably, the Board of Agriculture Bill. In' view of recent- happenings it can only be assumed that the purpose behind the obstruction was kto kill two birds with one stoke, namely, to embarrass the Government at a critical time, and to injure the farmers who have come to the rescue o£ the community against the lawlessness of the Red Federation :ind the paralysing of trade and business. What other,, reason could there be for the deliberate and persistent .obstruction of a measure which should not occupy the time of the House in its Committee stage for more than a counlo of hours at the outside? Silt Joseph Waiw again set the ball rolling. While the Federation of Labour embarrasses the Government outside the House the Leader of the Opposition and his friends obstruct business and endeavour to embarrass! the Government inside the House, and incidentally attack the farming interests. Itis very significant, also, that the Labour members present are assisting in the obstruction. The public, no doubt, will take note of these happenings against the day of reckoning tp come,
