Petrin, who resided With his brother t Fred I'eirin, in Wakefield Avomie, was supposed to havo come homo about midnight,. Shortly after tila-u hour Mrs. jPefrin was {twatwned by tho dccoßßcd groaning or calling out. and immediately made, the discovery that the house was in flames. *Mr. and. Jlrs. F. l'errin and their children had barely time to escape, getting to safety in their night-clothes. Tho efforts to roach the deceased were fruitless, the flaijtes driving the would-bo rcscucfs buck, mid it- was not till the fire, brigade had subdued the f.auics that tTio deceased's body, terribly oharred, was recovered from the ruins, and removed to the stable at the Marine Hotel. Tho fire apparently had. its origin in the deceased's room at the back of the house, and soon enveloped.; the whole building, which was one. of four rooms.
