"DROWNED" SWIMMER RETUJtNS TO EASTBOURNE,
An astounding story comes from Eastbourne (England) of a man who was supposed to have been drowned in September, 1911. At that time some clothes found on the beach at Eastbourne were identified as belonging to Cecil Edward Louis Stuart Drouet D'Erlow. D'Erlow has now reappeared in Eastbourne, and his story is that lie remembers going. out to bathe, but. recollects nothing more until ho found himself in a Hamburg Hospital. Ho was tlieu told that ho hatl been picked up un* conscious by a yacht some miles out nt sea. -After recovering from his illness ho went to Scotland. D'Erlow claims to be a sell of the late Colouel L. R. C. Drouet, afterwards Count D'Erlow, but though ho succeeded to that titlo he had riot used it. Since his wanderimis D'Erlow 1 has, he says, been employed is theatrical companies, but early this yea? he lost his memory.
