EVENING CONCERT.

The Town Hall was comfortably filled in the evening, when a most_ attractive prograiueo was given. Slain interest centred in tho ■ Paging of George Bernard Shaw's delightful little comedietta, "How ho Lied to her Husband." There are only tlirco parts in the- piece, ami these were taken by Miss Lilian Pndtanl and Messrs. Norman Aitken ami Krnst Luke. Tiie two former acted their parts fairly well, though Mr. liUks was hardly satisfactory, Tiro juvenile choral contest was interesting. Only the first section of the competing chews was taken last night, these were Kilwrnio School of Music (A choir), Hawkesloiie Street School, and Maxtst .Brothers' School (B choir). Tho following, wore the pieces rendered: "Tho Belle Are Pealing" (Kilbiruie). "Believe Me If All Those Endearing Yonng Qhartns" ] (Hawkestorie Street), and "Music and Her Sisters Song" (Mafist Brothers}. Tho second section in this contest will he taken this evening. Tho remainder of the programme was made up of the finals from the day's contests. The impromptu speeches and the contralto solo contests also task place at the evening's concert; they are reported above.
