"WORKERS' COMMON SENSE RETURNING. (By Telegraph— Special Correspondent.) Auckland, November 14. There are abundant signs that ■ tho strike is collapsing. On all, sides work on the wharves is proceeding as briskly as before the striko, caitiug is going on steadily, and the ordinary Industries of tho city aro being resumed. Men aro quietly drifting back to work as jf nothing had happened, and tho general striko has proved a colossal farce. Tho Federation of Labour has received a heavy blow. Its supporters liavo had a mdo awakening. The blind followers of Semplo and Co. havo found that their leaders' wonderful promises and threats have vanished into thin air, and tho city that was to bo tho cowering, petitioning victim at tho foot.of tho Federation's thrcno lias risen up in wrath, and the Federation's power proved but a delusion and a snaro. Tho strikers who still remain out (and their number is lessoned by hundreds aro muttering amongst themselves, and generally the misguided workers seem to ho on tho ovo of a return to common sense.
