UNION RESOLUTIONS.

A largely-attended meeting 1 of the Octal Workers' Assistants' • Union tonight carried the following rcsokitioiis unanimously •.--■(1) That this union de-mands-that the Massoy Government -settle this strike on the terms originally submitted by the employers and aceetrt-r < 5 d by the United Federation of Labour. (2) That this resolution be forwarded to tho Pri.niG Minister and tho Leader of the Opposition. _ It wa.s als odeeidod to set_ up a cmneiittcc- to imes.tig-,ito and assist any cases of distress amongt members e'f tho, union.
A special mcetinc of . tho Duiiediii Tinsfiths'j Coparsinitjis' and Sheet Metal Workers' Unioh. carried a resolution as follows'—That this union psynipat'hisi's with the waterside workers- and other unions now on strike in tho endeavour to maintain a clean unionism. Also that tho union communicate at once with Sir ,T. G. Ward, urging him to insist on legislation being passed to settle the present, crisis.
