MARTON RESOLUTIONS.

Palmersfon, November 13 At meetings held at Marton this evening, the- following resolutions were carried :—"That this mooting of farmers and residents of Marton wish t" express their complete confidence in the Citizens' Defenco Committee, now sitting at Wellington, and on which there are four members of tho Farmers' Union." At another meeting tbo following resol'ition was carried: "That this meeting impress on .the Government tho di.ro necessity of endeavouring to Settle the strike on terms .amicable to both parties." At this meeting there was a strong elemont of tho Labour party, ajul a resolution, proposed by Mr. Turner who addressed tho meeting, was defeat' ed.
