WOMEN'S REFORM LEAGUE.

SPECIAL MEN THANKED. A meeting of the Wellington Women's Reform League was held in the Oddfellows' Hall yesterday afternoon. The president (Mrs. E. Hadfie!d> was in tho chair. The following resolutions w-cre passed :■—"(1) This league desires to place on record its appreciation of tho stand taken by the Government in the present industrial crisis." "(2)'This lea.guo desires to place on record its regard for the selfsacrifice, pluck, and consideration of the foot and mounted specials in coming to the city's aid in this time of stress." Various matters of interest were discussod, and a letter was read from the officer in command of the mounted special men, thanking members of the league for kindness shown to the men. Seventeen now members wore enrolled. This was the last meeting of the league for the current yoar. At its conclusion tho president received a warm vote of thanks.
