PORT STEAM MOVEMENTS.

: SERVICES RESTARTING. • 'Anticipations are that in tho courso of a day or two regular services will bo reestablished. The ferry service is being maintained by the Mapourika and Pateena for tho present. The' latter steamer left Wellington for Lvttelton last evening, and tho Mapourika sails »s usual to-night. Tho service between Wellington, Picton, and Nelson is being ■maintained by-tho Anchor Line steamers Nikau and Kaitoa., The Nikau is duo in port this morning, and will leave on the return trip this evening, The Union Company's Manuka left Duncdin' for Lyttelton and Wellington yesterday afternoon. ' She is due here to-morrow morning, and as it has been decided that tho Willochra will be this week's boat' to Sydney, the Manuka's movements are indefinite at present. An arrival at Wellington .from Sydney last evening was tho Warrimoo. This steamer brought passengers, mails, and luggage only. Her orew worked the ship, and Arbitrationists and others handled her output on the wharf. Union Company's officers transhipped luggage from the Warrimoo to' the Pateena for south. The .Warrimoo left Wellington last cveriin;;"l'or Dunedin direct. She lays up at the southern port. From inquiries mado yesterday it was ascertained that some of tho coastal steamers will commenco running to-day. Tho vessels have been manned by good orews.

Messrs. Johnston and Co.'s steamers Putiki and Stormbird' have ■ been recomnnssioned. The former is scheduled to sail for Wanganni at 5 p.m. to-day, and the Stormbird is to leave port for Havelock and Pelorus Sound at the same hour. .

All steamers which wero- berthed at tho Wharves yesterday, with tho exception of the Northern and Athenic, went out into tho stream for the night. Several other vessels aro expected to some alongside to-day.
