After a stormy passage in the b.b, Maunganui across tho T.israan Sea, .when the wireless apparatus was carried away, and tho upper cabins swamped by the waves, Mr. Fitzgerald and Mr. Rees reached the Bluff on September 15. Mr. Fitzgerald commenced with a retreat at Christcliurch for the sisters m community in the South Island. Then ho conducted a week of services in St. Luke's Church, Christchurch, wliero he held a mission three years ago. From Christcliurch he to Dunedin to conduct a quiet day tor Cli.Urch workers, and revisited All. Saints' Church, conducting services' for nine days. After the • conclusion of the visit to Now Zealand, tho two missioKora go to Vancouver to conduct similar services in Western Canada. They leave Auckland on December 19, am] expect to reach England about April 22. Mr. Fitzgerald states that' l the result of tlieir work in New Zealand so far ha 3 been tho reaping of a harvest from tho seeds so.vn in the missions of X9lO. There is clear evidence of much growth during tlieso three years, and splendid perseverance, especially amongst tho men and a spirit of prayer, especially quiet prayer and waiting ujitin the Holy Spirit. Tho aim of the missioners lias been to give to those who came to tho services this time tho message which tlioy needed to confirm them in the truth as it is in Jesus. A new branch of ihe Fraternity of the Re.su r« rection has been started in Wellington. Generally speaking, the congregations have been steady all through", marked by intensity rather than by "great numbers, and the opportunity given for special prayer by the strike in Wellington was seized by many lovers of New Zealand, in ordor to bring, about, industrial peace, tho result of which will, it is hoped, bo seen in the near future in a growth of the spirit df brotherhood.
