The hon. secretary feportcd' that he had written to the Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Associations stating that if each of tho.se asso* tiations would give a further guarantee of £35 the recommendation df the Selection Committee would bo agreed to. The council have decided to guarantee £Ip. Replies were received from the Canterbury Cricket Association agreeing to give the'extra guarantee asked for, but the. Auckland, Wellington, and Otago Assomtioiis wrote, that they were not m a position to mako any further guarantee.

It was. resolved that the council re- 1 grettcd that it was not in a position to send a fourteenth Haft as recommended ■by the Selection. Committee. The secretary of the Auckland Cricket Association wrote accepting dates for tho Auckland-Wellington ihatch,' viz., December 25, 26, and 2?, but, as it was impossible for the Auckland, Association to send a team flway before Christinas, ho suggested that the .Auckland and: Canterbury dates he changed to January 1, 2, and 3. The secretary reported that those frere this dates fixed for the Cantprbury-Wcilingt-oA match.

It was resolved that the Auckland Association lie informed that the council only suggested dates in accordance with the AucMaM Association's proposal, and resoramended uhat the Auckland Association be asked to communicate direct with the Canterbury Association, and mutually agree as to dates.
