A REPUDIATION

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —It came to my notice, through the Press, that tho .Wellington Stage Eraployoos' Union paraded with a ban' nor at the strikers' procession on Monday evening last. I may state that thqy wero in no way authorised by tho union to make any such demonstration whatever. It must have been dono by two or threo members, who took it upon themselves to make a banner and follow tho procession. "Trusting you will find spaco for this apology on behalf of tho members of tho union,—l am, etc., F. NORRIS, Acting-Secretary. [We are pleased to publish this evidence of tho good sense of tho majority of tho members of tho Stago Employeos' Union.]
