emphatic protest. (By ABfocifttdonJ Wangaiiul, November 12. At a committee meeting of the Wanganui Agricultural Society to-day tho following resolutions woro passed: (1) "That this association protests against the 'insulting language of Mr. Trogear who described tlio spqdius as outcasts coming fr° m ,0 country, and recommends that ho resign his commission of justico of the peace" (2) "Tliis mooting desires to placo on record its appreciation of tho stand taken by tho Government in tho present industrial crisis and also the action of those who so promptly volunteered their Berviecs for that purpose.-' (S) "This mooting places on record its appreciation of tho commendnbly loyal stand taken by tilie local waterside workers in adhering to their principles in tho present crisis."
