SETTLEMENT POSSIBILITIES.
MR. J. A. GUNSON SANGUINE, (By Telegraph.—Press Assoojatign.) Auckland, November 11. The possibilities of a- settlement wore tho subject of a statement by the chairman of tlio Harbour Board this evening. "Tlio position in Auckland if, very much more hopeful," said Sir. Gtinson, "and I am sanguine that'during the next few days something might arise which will pavo tho way for a settlement of the trouble here. At tho samo time, the position at Wellington peculiarly affects tho situation here, and as far as I can see at present any settlement which is propbscd must cover tho position at both centres."
