STIRRING CALL TO FARMERS. (By Telegraph— Press Association.) '• Marlon, November 11. j Mr. G. L. Marshal?, .chairman of'.the hMarton Farmers' Union;'in a letter to !tho."Raiigitikci Advocate" appealing to all . farmers to send mon to work at iWellington, says: "A littlo inconveni'encc now'may save us untold troubleand loss in the future. Many farmers can spare one man without great dis-. location. When tho history of tho striko is written it will bo men who did not draw back in the time-'of trouble who will bo recognised.and honoured as projtectors of tho country.', There < always aro some who say, 'Leave it to'others,' and . 'It will bo all right without me.' ' If this .was the case nothing would be done. Let every farmer make it a porifional mattor.- It seems almost unfair that those unwilling to put themselves ' out now should nevertheless benefit equally with those who do the work. Now that the port was opened it was vory necessary that thoy should koep up a supply of men in over-increasing numbers to get tho produce loaded un-til-the strikers see fit to acknowledge and remember that they really had very littlo to striko for. '-Many of the strikers dp just "what the leaders tell' them. They wero frightened to assert themselves, and say they had no wish to, striko. This is very hard- for the ...women and children and on the country las- a- whole. It was' a fact that tho (only ones not to suffer aro tlio paid leaders of strikers and the Federation."
