A sacred concert was given in tho Catholic Church on Sunday evening. It was will .attended.' A party of singers come oat from Wellington to assist'the choir. Those- present enjoyed a musical treat. . A. farewell tea was given by Mrs. Loijjhton on Saturday afternoon, at hof residence, "Eastwood Ho," Lower Hutt. The guest of honour was Miss Marjory Scales. During the afternoon a "twoword" competition was held, tiro prizes being won by the Misses Bodmin and Leo. Some of those present wefe: Miss Oswald Brocn, Miss Mirams, Miss Hollis, and tlia Misses Joimson, Strtddon,_ Greenfield, Thane, and Whitte-m. Musical items and song 9 'iver-e contiitrated during the afternoon, boys'league.
