It was ; -explained that the seamen did not desire to involve- themselves or their union in tho prevailing trouble, and tho meeting unanimously agreed that the best' way out of tho difficulty was for the men to individually terminate t-liejr engagement with tho company by giving the necessary 24 hours' notice. The meeting decided to follow that course,. and tho men. of 0110 ship have already handed in notice.
