London, November 7. \ Lord Curzon, delivering the Rede [Lecture at Cambridge University, dealt with the subject of "Modem Parliamentary Eloquonoe." - Ho stated that oratory had,almost disappeared from the House of Commons; the growth of platform speaking had detracted from the vogue of Parliamentary eloquence. .Whilst the latter was still the unlocked •door to Ministerial 'office, it waß the [platform that made or unmade leaders 1 land decided the fortunes of parties.
