The Committee, eo far from being opposed to organised labour, is in favour of dealing, whenever practicable-, with Unions registered under the Arbitration Act; and, if such labour is available, of employing it in preference to all other classes of Labour. The Committee is pledged net to employ labour belonging to organisations not registered under the Arbitration Act, AS UNREGISTERED UNIONS DO NOT SECURE TO EMPLOYERS • PROPER RESPECT FOR OR PERMANENCY OF AGREEMENTS, OR PROVIDE ANY TRIBUNAL FOR THE PAIR AND REASONABLE SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES.
