The resolution on this question was as follows: —Ttiat this meeting resolves that,' unless hotel and' restaurant-keep-ers are prepared to concede one day holiday in seven.(or a six-day week), all hotel and /restaurant employees cease work by noon on Monday next. In the meantime all hotel and restaurant workers' are expected to remain in their usual employment until called upon to cease work.

It is roported on good authority that fully. 400 men. who were given notice a week ago were paid-off to-day. ! These men have not struck, tut there is no work for them to do.
