WELLINGTON CITIZENS' DEFENCE COMMITTEE; MANIFESTO. EMPLOYEES HOT OPPOSED TO ORGANISED LABOUR. TT having been freely stated that the object of the committee is to oppose and crush Organised Labour, the COMMITTEE DESIRE TO GIVE THE STATEMENT AN OFFICIAL AND SOLEMN DENIAL. IT IS ENTIRELY WITHOUT TRUTH. The Committee, so far from being opposed to organised labour, is in favour of dealing, whenever practicable, with Unions registered under the Arbitration Act; and, if such labour is available, of employing it in preference to all other classes of Labour. The Committee is pledged not. to employ . labour belonging to organisations not registered under the Arbitration Act, AS UNREGISTERED UNIONS DO NOT SECURE TO EMPLOYERS PROPER RESPECT FOR OR PERMANENCY OF AGREEMENTS, OR PROVIDE ANY TRIBUNAL FOR THE FAIR AND REASONABLE SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES.
