MR YOUNG & THE SPEICALS.

STRATEGIC SPEECH. . Mr. T. Young, president of the Federation of Labour, fell into the hands .of a posse of specials from t'lio country tho other night. Much to his surprise he was cut off from his base, and was obliged to listen to sorno words of wisdom from the men whom _Jjc has so virulently abused, on many occasions. It was pointed out that if one of the specials had fallen, into the hands of tha Federation men, as lie\had fallen into theirs, he would probably have been severely hurt. Mr. Young at onco. becamo strategic. Ho adopted quite a, meek and lowly demeanour, and stated that neither he nor the Federation of Labour advocated violence. His remarks hardly march on. all fours with tho scarlet speech which he made in the Basin Reservo on Sunday week last.
