EMPLOYERS' MANIFESTO.
STAND ON ARBITRATION-. Ths Wellington Citizens' Dcfonco Committee issued yesterday for public information fcho following manifesto:— "It having been freely stated that the object of lite committee is to oppose and crush organised Labour, tl;o committee desires to give the statement sm Official and solemn denial. It is entirely without truth. The committee, so far from being opposed to organised Labour, is in favattrof dealing whenever .practicable with uniojis .registered under tho Arbitration Act; and, if such labour is available, of employing it in preference tj ail other elaSses of labour. The committco is pledged not t& employ labour belonging to organisations not registered under the Arbitration Act, as unregistered unlonß do not sef.iiro to employers proper respect for or permanency cf agreements, or provide any tribuufil for the fair and reasonable settlement i f disputes."
