(By Telegraph.—Prera Asioclation.) Christohuroh, November 5. Mr. Geo. Scott, of tho Atlas Confection Works, stated to-day that tho biscuit portion of tho factory lias been closocl down, and a number of hands, including men and girls, have been thrown out of employment. This hnd to bo dono in order to keep tho confectionery portion working a little longer. TJnlcss fresh supplies of aujjjar como to hand, tho confectionery portion will have t-o be closed down in a fortnight.
