Tho buildings are all one story high, and incsfc am built of corrupatcd iron and fibrous plaster upon stout timber framing, llio facades aro ali made of tho plaster boards, which represent a. beautifully smooth and brilliantly white surface; and thfs iron walls aro kept inconspicuous Some of' the smaller buildings ar« made of other materials than iron and piaster, a very handsome appearance being obtained in soilio cases by the use of asbestos boards, notably m tho Art Gallery. Tho three main buildings alono contain about 1,000,000 feet of timber, 3000 square yards of . plaster, 173 ton* of iron, and 40,000 bolts. About 320 sets of roof principles wore used. Practically all tins Material used in. tho buildings will bo lit for further service, and it will bo sold after tho Exhibition closes. Tho floors ilono contain an enormous quantity o' red pine planks a couple of inches in tliiekness. .
