LOWER liUTT COURT. Mr, L, G. Reid, S.M., of Mast-erton, presided over a sitting of tlio Lower Hutt Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. Messrs. J. Cudby and J, Wilkin Were also' on tlio Bench.

David Win. Sutherland and Bertram S. Durant wore each charged with riding motor-bicyrtlos without lights. They were convicted and ordered to pay costs 7s.

R. King was convicted and ordered to pay costs 7s. for allowing a, cow to wander on a public road. Judgment was given for plaintiffs by default in tlio following .undefended civil cases: —M'Menamin Bros. v. Henry Trevethick, £4 9s. 3d., costs 145.; Commissioner of Taxes v, John M. Nemo, £8 12s. 4d., costs Bs. In tlio judgment summons case, H. P. _ Wcstbury v. J. N. Nicholseu, a claim for £15 65., defendant was ordered to pay the full amount within two months. The alternative . was fixed at seven days' imprisonment.
