The cows, which were a good lot* elicited keen competition, and gold well.—Best cows, £9 to £14 55.; fair cows, £6 ss. to £8 153.; threoquarter cows, £5 to-£6; fat cowe, £5 to £6 26. 6d.; calves, ss. to 10a.; fat and forward owes, 215.-

There was a Rood attendance, and although competition was slack at the beginning ol tho sale, it improved later, and a good sale resulted. Tho Addington market sale to-day was a Uoublo one, as there will be no salo during Carnival week. .Entries of all classes of fat stock wero conseuuently large, anu the bulk of the arrivals offered were of good quality. Fat cattlc were a shade easier in values. Fat lambs sold well, and storo sheep sold at adont late rates. Fat sheep were very firm. Fat pigs were also unchanged in price. Store Sheep.—Four and six-tooth shorn wethers (forward), 17s. 9d.;-. four-tooth wethers (Bhorn), 15s. 4d.; two and fourtooth 6horn wethers, 15s. 6d.; wether hoggets. 12s. 7d. to 135.: wether hoggets (smail and inferior), lis. BURi'SIDE MARKET, DuneUin, November 5. At Burnside market to-day 124 fat cattle were yarded. Owing to small .supply, competition was brisk throughout, and prices showed a further rise of lCs. to 15s. per head. Prime heavy bullocks, £14 to £15 1C&.; medium, £12 to £13 10s.; light, £9 10s. to £11; prime heavy lieifcra and cows, £10 to £11; extra, to £15 Is. 6d.; medium. £9 to £10; light, £9 to £8 10s. . Fat sheep: 1682 penned.—After last week's short yarding butchers' stocks were exhausted, and to-day's small £un.)ly was keenly competed for, the result being a very dear sale, the trade haying to 'pay extreme prices compared with last week's sale. Heavy prime wethers advanced about 2s. 6d. per head, while medium sheep were in some cases up 4s. to 5«. per ho;d. Thero were only a few ewos forward. Best wethers, £1 Us. to £1 155.; extra, £1 15s. to £1 18s.; medium, £1 7s. to £1 10s.; others. £1 4b. to £1 65.; extra heavy ewei}, t.o £1 125.; medium, to £1 55.; light and unfinished, to £1 Is.
Fat lambs; 123 penned—The quality was good, and prices were firm at late rates. Best up to £1 os. 6d.; good lambs, 17s. 6d. to 19s. 6d.; medium and light, to lfe.
Pigs: 76 fat pigs wsrc yarded.—There was a keen demand, and prices were a little better than those ruling last week; 75 stores were yarded, and the demand for them was better than it was last week, prices showing nelight advance.
