WEREROA HOLSTEIN SALE.

Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Palmorston North report having conducted the annual 'sale of the Wereroa Stud Holstein-Friesian and Jersey bulls ou account of the New Zealand Government, at the Wereroa State Farm, on Tuesday. The' various bulls with the best milking records behind them mot with the keenest competition, and every lot found purchasers. The following are particulars of animals sold, and purchasers' names:—Stud yearling Holstein bulls: Dominion Emperor Do Kol, 30 gns., P.Nisbet, Rata; Dominion Mario, 36gns.; R. Burke, Matamata; Dominion Nikau, 39gns., J. Nisbet, Porewa; Dominion Sarcastic De Kol, 42gns., E. C. Banks, Matamata; Dominion Royal Oak, 40gns., G. D. Goodrick, Taihape; Dominion Pretoria, 44gns., F. W. Koberstein, Feilding; Dominion Mutual Rock De Kol, 45gns., W. Bevan, Mana-i kau;. Dominion Oakl'ands, 40giis., H. Hartnell, Christchurch; Dominion Garfield, 36gns., W.-Galloway, Pahautanui; Dominion Woodcrest Sarcastic Lad, 46 gns., J. C. Paterson, Wanganui; Dominion Van Dieman, 65gns., M'lntyre Bros., Morrinsville; Dominion De Wet, 70gns., I. H. M'Nair, Matamata; Dominion Dutchland, 71gns., F. Hopping., Rongotea; Dominion Botha, 82gns., Walter Williams, Mataroa; Dominion Nowra, 88gns., Abraham and Williams, as agents; Dominion, Count Manola Do Kol, }20gns., W. R. -Wright, Rahotu; Dominion Fobcs Do Kol, 132gns., A. E. Judge, Mangaohoho. The keenest competition of the day was elicited for the two bulls Dominion Oake Do Kol, and Dominion Pietertje, the former being purchased by Mr. C. Hopping, Feilding, for 250gns.; anil the latter fell to tho bid of Mr. A. E. Judge, of Mangaohoho, at 256gns. The grade Holstein bull Cranio went to Mr. R. Holland, Wellington, at 3Ggns. Tlio yearling Shorthorn bull Canberra, M. Mo.vnihan at 20gns.; yearling Shorthorn bull Darfcalara, J. Kcarins, Kairanga, at 30gns.
