Napier Wedding. Our Napier correspondent writes thatthe marriage took place at the Napier Cathedral yesterday of Miss Sadio Herdman, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Herdman, of Napier, to Mr. Ernest 0. Edmondson, son of the late Major Edmondson, of Napier. The bride and bridegroom subsequently loft by motor for tho Bouth. Wadding at Mastsrton. Tho marriage took place in St. Matthew's Church, Mastcrton, yesterday afternoon, of Miss Elsie Richards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rich* ards, of Masterton, to Mr. Clarence Charles Smith, only son of Mrs, C, A. Smith, of Masterton. The ceremony was performed by the llev. H. Watson. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white charmeuse trimmed with hand-made Spanish lace and a veil fastened with orange blossoms. She was attended by her sister Miss Olive Richards, who wore a cream frock with guipure lace coatee and pretty hat to match. The best man was Mr. L. S. Nichol. Tho bride's mother wore a gown of dove grey oharmeuse and grey hat with touohes of violet. Mrs. Smitli, mother of the bridegroom, was in black charmeuso and lace, and black toque trimmed with pink shaded roses. A reception was afterwards held in the Exchange Hall. Later, the brida and bridogroom left for the north, the bride wearing a tailored navy costume and white Tagel hat trimmed with ease blue. Maurloovlllo Wedding. The marriage took place at the Hauriceville North Church on Wednesday last of Miss Hilda Isakson, oldest daughter of Mr. 010 Isakson, of Hastwell, to Mr. W. A. Peterson, eldest son of Mr. J. P. Petersen, Mauricevillo West. Tho bride wore a gown of cream radianta, with orange blossoms, and was given away by her father. She was attended by Miss Olive Isakson as bridesmaid, "while the groomsman was Mr. James Petersen. The wedding ceremony was- conducted by tho Rev. A. M'Beaii, of Eketahuna. Farewell Tea. Mrs. Hervey, prior to leaving for Auckland, gave an afternoon tea to her friends yesterday at the residence of Mrs. Kreeft, Kelburne. The room was prettily decorated with purple pansios and cherry blossoms. Bridge was played in the dining-room, Mrs. Reeves winning. A clever competition was carried 011 in the drawing-room entitled "The Romanco of the Lawyer and tho Carpenters.'-' It was really a story with spaces left, tho blanks having to be filled in with tho names of carpenters' tools. The'winner was Miss Greenwood. Mrs. Hervey wore a grey costume and' a black hat trimmed with flowers, and Mrs. Kreeft" a blaok velvet frock relieved with lace. Mr. and Mrs. H. Thompson, who have been visiting Great Britain, are expected to return to Napier this week. • Tho Rev. Mr. Tye (England) and Mrs. Tye arrived in Ashhurst on Saturday wliero their future home will be. Mr. Tye is vicar of the Poliangina and Ashhurst parochial distriot. Mr. and Mrs. F. Phillips (Auokland) ore staying at tho Empire Hotel. Staying at the Grand Hotel anoi Br, and Mrs. Maunsall (Dunedin), Mrs. and Miss Scully (Hastings), and Mr. and Mrß. N. M. White (Hawke's Bay). Tho engagement is announced of Miss Ruby Gower. niece of Mrs. Donald Donald, Masterton, to. Mr. Dunlqp, teaplanter, Dehiowita, Ceylon. Mrs Rolleston announces that she has a large selection of the latest Hairdressing Accessories. Ladies may depend upon perfect satisfaction in tho arrangement of their Coiffures.*
