Tho Striko Committeo had subsequently advised that the chaff would bo "handled," and the vessel came on to Westport, whero tho watorsidcrs received the cargo at tlio slings, and others loaded it. into trucks that wero required for tho country, but transferred it into n goodssued tftSi rojirfed goods locally.' It is understood that tho Striko Committeo, not the men individually, received tlio pay for tho sorviscs rendered. Tho Strike Committee also advised produce merchants that any further cargoes coming to hand will ijif similarly handled, but, as there appears to bo 110 prospect of such vessels getting back cargoes merchants and others do not view the concession as a settlement of the difficulty facing the community, 1 which is rapidly running snort of provisions. - All horses liavebeen brought out of tho Westport Coal Company's mine, and to-morrow tho Bono Boad to Denniston will bo -stripped of tubs.
