CHRISTCHURCH DRIVERS.
DIVIDED CAMP. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Christohureh, November 3. It appears that tho meeting of the Drivers' Union, held on Saturday evening, to consider the strike position, was not as unanimous as reports would indicate. It was very noisy at times, and strong dissent was expressed at the suggestion that the drivers should bo called out. Many of tho drivers present aro in steady employment, and are strongly opposed to tho union taking part in the striko. So strong is tho feeling that already there is talk of forming a separate union to bo registered undor tho Arbitration Act. It is reported that, out of a membership of 700, only 100 voted on tho proposal to join tho Fodoration, and it is alleged that tho proposal was only carried by a majority of six.
