ASHBURTON'S MEN.

(By Tolofraph.—Press Araoolatlon.) Ashburton, November 8. To-day sixty men enrolled in Ashburton as free labourers or special constables. The men are ready to go to the port or wherever ordered immediately their services are required. Most of them have horses. The committee appointed at Saturday's meeting are enrolling volunteers in the country districts and finding a ready response. It is under-stood that from 200 to 800 men have offered their services.
