Tho meeting, which was not open to tW Press, carried tho following resolution: representatives of tho Auckland, Wellington., and Duntitlin branches meet at Dunodin or elsewhere to discuss tlio ■Question as to relations of seamen to the United Federation of Labour, and also whether it is dosirablo tliut an. officor of the Seamen's Union should retain tile rather pcculiav position as. an important official of the United federation of Labour while the organisation which ho is secretary of is not a part of that body."
