A meeting of the Duncdin BraxicU of the Australasian Federated Seamen's Union was held this evening to distusi) certain complications which liava arisen 8S .tho result of the strike in_ WolliiiKton, and tho seamen's connection therowith. There were considerably over 100, members present. Tho meeting, which was not open to tW Press, carried tho following resolution: representatives of tho Auckland, Wellington., and Duntitlin branches meet at Dunodin or elsewhere to discuss tlio ■Question as to relations of seamen to the United Federation of Labour, and also whether it is dosirablo tliut an. officor of the Seamen's Union should retain tile rather pcculiav position as. an important official of the United federation of Labour while the organisation which ho is secretary of is not a part of that body."
A short meeting of watersiders Waa hold in the wharf waiting-room yesterday mornin.K, where a unanimous motion was adopted expressing appreciation of tho resolution adopted on Sunday evening by tho Protestant clcrsy of Wellington- This resolution deplored tho preparations for armed conflict and urfiod a peaceful settlement of tho strike. Hearty cheers. were given for tl»- members of the clergy.
