Nearly four million growing trees were imported into the United States in the past fiscal year, according to statistics just published by the Department of Agriculture (writes a New York correspondent). In the same period more than seven tons of tree seeds were brought into tho country. The trees include valuablo species that do not now grow in the Uriitod gtatc3, as well as stock which can at present bo bought more cheaply abroad.
