LONDON PERSONALS. London, September 25. Mr. and Mrs. L. 0. Gibbons, late of Wellington, and tho West Coast of the South Island, will arrive in London shortly. Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Mace, of Wellington, intend remaining in England for twelve months, before leaving again for New Zealand. Tho members of the Royal Artillery Band, who have Boon engaged to play at tho Auckland Exhibition, will leave by tho Turakiua- on October 8. Mr. C. A. Cotton, 3i.Sc., of Victoria College, Wolliiigton," has a paper in the September "Geographical Journal," on "Tho Physiography of,the Middle Clarence Valley. Now Zealand." Mr. Hugn Lusk, well known in the Now Zealand cricket world, and ono of tho masters at Christ's College, Canterbury, has arrived in England, and gone to Rugby, where ho will bo ono of tho teaching staff under tho now scheme for the interchange of teachers between New Zealand and English Publio Schools. The Misses Ida, Ada, and Olive Burton return Ito Now Zealand by tho Otranto in January, Thoy will visit Paris before they leave. Mr. Joseph Chapman, of tho firm of Messrs. T. Jay and Co., Auckland, ha 9 arrived in England, and intends to stay for twelve months. Mr. Robert Gibson, of Petono, who arrived her© in Juno, was married about threo- weeks ago to an English lady. Both return to New Zealand next May. Miss Florence Sheiird, ono of tho staff of tho Christchurch Girls' High School, has beon granted a year's leave of absence in ordor to take a courso of Home Economics at King's Collego for Women in London. Dr. Thomas T. Thompson, of Otago, who was house surgeon at Christclmrch Hospital for twelve months, and prior to leaving Now Zealand, acted as locum tenons to Dr. Will, of Rangiara, arrived in England by tho Hurunui, and intends staying a year, doing post graduate work. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Faulkner. Auckland, aro at present at tho Thackeray Hotel, Great Russeil Street.
